Hallo there! I am going to attempt the NaNoWriMo again this year. I am far less confident than usual that I'll succeed this time, because I have so many daily writing commitments already that I don't know if I can possibly add 1,667 words each day. But I'm sure going to try!
What I'm doing this year is picking up a previous story that I didn't manage to succeed with, for NaNo in 2004. I'm going to pick up where I left off, but not include the original writing in my final word count.
However, for the sake of continuity and getting the entire story here, I'm going to post what I had previously written, first. So these first few posts don't count, but they're necessary here, so people can read the story properly.
This time around, I'm just tossing gods into the milieu in Toronto, to see what sort of havoc they'll wreak with my two main characters -- Alexandra, who has Greek heritage, and Vijay, who has Indian background. The gods will mainly be Greek and Hindu, but I'm likely to toss a few others in as well, just for fun. If there's anything I love, it's mythological gods.
I foresee some disputes over jurisdiction.
Anyway, whoever pops in here, I hope you enjoy the story. Next post will begin the catchup stuff, in preparation for the new writing to start tomorrow.
