I'm so glad that you told me about this fic. It's wonderful. Everyone was so perfectly in character, and you thought everything through so clearly. I really had- HAVE- difficulty understanding what happened to Ed at the end of the series. (Why couldn't he do alchemy with an array?) Also, I was not very comfortable with Roy getting his sight back as well as how he got it back.
For awhile there, I was wondering why Al and especially Ed did not have the condition, but it turned out that they did. Of course, Ed would be oblivious.
FWIW, I was glad to have both Mei and Armstrong in the fic. I feel that Mei would have wanted to be with Al and help with the crisis. Armstrong's involvement may not have been quite as essential (IMHO), but it was logical and, well, he's always fun to have around, especially if one doesn't have to look at him. XD
I loved that you showed Ed, Al, and Roy and their families having a happy time. Once Roy had agreed to Riza's plan, I was hoping for a glimpse into the future. It did seem to have a bit of the flavor of the end of Dunnett's House of Niccolo. And the very end, with the four immortals going off together, was so very bittersweet.
Thanks for this wonderful emotional roller coaster!
